VMS has a very experienced team which enables us to contribute to the venue search, planning and delivery stages with considerable amount of industry knowledge. As we are a boutique conference management company, we are all hands on deck to ensure that your conference receives the attention and experience that it needs.

Libby Schrafft – Managing Director / Principal

Libby has successfully managed and built VMS since acquiring the business in 1992.  Libby’s background within the corporate, association and government sectors along with a proven record of accomplishment has only enhanced the operation to what it is today. She is well known within the industry for providing outstanding customer relations due to an in-depth expertise and understanding of client needs, coupled with extensive venue knowledge and relationships. Libby has developed an experienced team who all have their part to play in the development of the business.

Mike Schrafft – Director / Principal

Mike, having had twenty year’s general management and board experience within the corporate sector, joined VMS over twelve years ago (although being involved since its inception) to focus on the IT/ecommerce and marketing programs along with major project management.  He is also engaged in financial and strategic planning.  Mike has thirty years print experience and provides VMS clients with expert conference “print management” advice and project management. He also developed the online registration platform RegoDirect & Exhibitor-Gallery, which the company uses. In a past life Mike also delivered a number of international sporting events as the Executive Director of the NSW Rugby Union.

Marney Wilson – Client Relations Manager

Marney provides administrative support services to VMS clients through the conference “helpline” and has more than seven years with the company. She is also responsible for database management and support for all RegoDirect websites which includes providing rooming lists to the hotels, accounts for funds taken through the registration system and provides reconciliations. In addition, Marney co-ordinates the Clubg (government) program with our selected venues while proving support to our government clients.

Lindsay – Business Manager

Lindsay recently commenced as our Business Manager and will be across all aspects of the business; business development, client relations, onsite logistics and venue co-ordination.

A world travelled person who has called Sydney home for the last 7 years. Lindsay’s experience ranges from Food and Beverage Management in the United Kingdom and New Zealand both in Restaurants and Hotels to Conference Sales and Business Development Management in the Hotel Industry within Australia. Her experience in the hospitality industry has provided her with outstanding customer service skills and has given her a strong attention to detail and a committed loyal approach to all her projects.

Work Experience Opportunities

In addition, we are committed to our youth and the next generation of conference management superstars. We provide work experience opportunities for hospitality students to participate first hand in conference set up and onsite support, and invite students to participate when required.
