It seems to be the “in thing” to form an association but unless it is run transparently for the members is it an association? We have on a number of occasions written to the secretariat of the PCO Association only to be completely ignored. The thrust of the correspondence was asking for the constitution to be published on the website (I do have a copy and it is worth reading), questioning what is being done for the largest membership group (NSW) at a local level, suggested they charge annual membership fees (which they have now started doing) and hold the AGM at the same time as the conference rather than have to make a special trip to Queensland. No financials have ever been available to members (unless you attend the AGM?).
My basic question is what are they doing for VMS or my colleagues in NSW….nothing! So really who do they represent and why?
We are no longer members of the PCO Association. Mike Schrafft, Director.
